Top Flight won the $300,000 Three Kings Trios Christmas Casino Battle Royal: ★★
Jade Cargill def. Vertvixen to retain the AEW TBS Championship: ★
Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett def. Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn: ★★

Show Highlight—

Eddie Kingston. Ah, finally, the perfect person to shit on the lights on/off schtick, with the simple but effective means of doing so: a childish raspberry.

What Worked—

Battle Royal. Modern Battle Royals are ass, and this had the same napping and waiting-for-your-turn-to-do-a-spot nonsense. There were some spectacular highlights with AR Fox and Top Flight flying around everywhere and Claudio beating the shit out of people with brutal strikes. The last elimination sequence was both original and fantastic.
Max Caster. “…got titles like Popovich.”

What Didn’t Work—

It’s a Christmas show, give them a pass. It’s not like you weren’t sleepwalking through work this week.
